| This study aimed at answering the question whether production of new colour variants of American mink in mink farms using mutations may entail changes in skull morphology and relationships between the bone elements building it. Analyses were made on the skulls of 56 eight-month-old males and females of two American mink colour variants (standard Brown and mutant Sapphire) from the same farm. Mean values, standard deviations and coefficients of variation were determined for carcass weight, cranial and mandibular weights and 7 dorsal surface, 8 lateral surface and 11 basal surface traits of the skull. | El visón americano (Neovison vison) fue traído a la Patagonia con fines peleteros y posteriormente se estableció en la naturaleza. Actualmente, es el carnívoro exótico de mayor distribución en Patagonia (Argentina y Chile), y consiguientemente varias investigaciones y proyectos enfocados en generar información relevante para su manejo se han desarrollado en los últimos años. | ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to investigate the usefulness of HbA1C as a test in monitoring the long-term glycemic control during the perinatal period in minks with the tendency to obesity. On the scanbrown mink farm, screening research on one-year-old females showing predilections to obesity was conducted. In the first year of the experiment, 120 females were assessed using body condition score (BCS) system. | La Patagonia alberga 84 especies de mamíferos nativos y numerosas exóticas. En este trabajo se revisa la cantidad e identidad de las especies de mamíferos introducidas en la provincia de Neuquén (NO Patagonia, Argentina) y su estado actual. Además, se describe la expansión de Cervus elaphus, Neovison vison, Oryctolagus cuniculus y Sus scrofa en la provincia. Se recopiló información proveniente de: (1) publicaciones e informes, (2) consulta a guardafaunas/guardaparques, profesionales, técnicos, (3) registros inéditos de los autores, y (4) relevamientos de campo.
